IT'S HAPPENING!

Thank you so much for your prayers and support over this past year! We have seen God bless us and our community in so many ways. We have so many testimonials to share of lives already impacted by Greenhouse Project (GHP). Our ministry would not be in the current position to help the people of Chester without volunteers, prayer warriors, and financial partners like yourself. Thank you very much!

This summer, we have some exciting news to share. Starting July 1st, 2020, Emily and I will transition to be full-time staff with GHP. GHP is focused on creating relationships through immersion to forge a lasting impact in the city of Chester. We believe that the best way to influence change is from within. Our simple approach is to live side-by-side with people whom we want to influence.

Through this method, we expect to see generations of people transformed by walking out life together, navigating real life challenges, and seeking Jesus. Our intention is to glorify God in our lives and influence others to seek Him in theirs.

Over the last year and a half, we have purchased, renovated, and moved into 42House, our ministry house located in Chester. We launched Sunday Night Fellowship and weekly discipleship groups. In addition, we started two sub-projects: Project Recover and Project Mentor. Project Recover offers free recovery coaching and counseling, while Project Mentor aims to reach parents, children, and adolescents in need with positive, self-sustaining influencers. Our entire ministry runs out of our home base. Through many prayers and support, GHP has been able to launch a full-fledged ministry within 42House and has impacted our community. You can continue to follow the progress through our e-news, Facebook, or Instagram page. Below are a few highlights of our ministry:

  • Since December, we have coached 34 people in recovery, totaling over 108 hours of free addiction support, counseling, and guidance. This doesn’t include countless recovery triage calls.

  • We now have three Discipleship Groups with a total of 14 people following Jesus and training them to lead new believers to Jesus.

  • We continued our Sunday night fellowship with over 20 people attending in-person and many more online.

  • We helped one man coming out of prison find a place to stay and assisted him into moving into a recovery house. Recently, he moved into an apartment and has reunited with his son!

  • We connected a single mom with 10 kids to an amazing donor, who blessed her with a car.

  • We have helped to supply food, disinfectant wipes, and masks to our neighbors and those in our community.

  • We are working on launching a moms-with-kids support group in our home.

  • We are continuing to develop relationships in our community, as more people are knocking on our door asking for prayer and looking to connect.

Despite this, the journey has just begun. As we continue to bring the Greenhouse Project to life, we have a long road ahead of us. While meeting physical needs is important, it does not create the long-term healing and change that is so desperately needed. Through these various projects, we have started to create a welcoming community that will spread out and affect the entire city with God’s love, grace, and compassion.

We are only $20,000 away from completing our program funding for 2020. This is where we need help. Will you continue to financially and prayerfully partner with Greenhouse Project? We need your support to continue on our path of bringing new life into Chester. Donations can be easily done on our website below or by mailing a check made payable to “Greenhouse Project” to the address below.  All gifts are tax-deductible. For questions or more information about scheduling me to share about GHP, please check out our website or contact me directly. Thank you so much, and may God bless you and your family!
