No One Can Stop God's Kingdom

In Matthew 13:33, Jesus shares this illustration: “The Kingdom of Heaven is like the yeast a woman used in making bread. Even though she put only a little yeast in three measures of flour, it permeated every part of the dough.” (NLT)

It would have been common for a new Jewish bride to receive a piece of raw dough on her wedding day. To us this may seem silly, but this small gift would have been treasured.

This dough, this little piece of dough, would have contained enough yeast to make bread for the rest of her life. Yes, the REST of her life! Think about all the meals that would be made, thousands and thousands of loaves of bread that would have brought life to family and friends.

Jesus would compare a little yeast, put inside gallons of flour, to the Kingdom of Heaven. Sometimes we forget how small things have great influence.

The simple truth is that God’s Kingdom Power will advance and overcome all resistance and opposition illustrated in the previous parables. No one can stop God's Kingdom!

That's good news for us. Now is the time to be encouraged, that whatever challenges and struggles you are facing, God is ultimately working all things for His Glory! The Kingdom of Heaven invaded earth when Jesus dwelt among us and will ultimately consume everything. We hope this message encourages you to trust in the One who is in control and holds all things together.
