T-Minus 3 Weeks to Launch!

Our new Homework Club program is launching in just 3 weeks (crazy!!) on September 22. Our team has worked hard behind the scenes all summer to meet our deadline, recruiting volunteers and developing our education strategy. 

Can we brag on YOU real quick? So many of our faithful supporters have reached out to help with everything from financial gifts to building supplies to volunteered time building out the space… thank you.

Your generous support has raised over $3800 for the Homework Club launch!! Our amazing donors and sponsors not only donated money, but have sponsored all the supplies requested including student-sized chairs and school supplies. Way. To. Go!

As of today we have: sealed walls, installed electric, moved water and gas lines, set up the bathroom, studded the basement, set up HVAC, installed drywall, and started on flooring, hoping to get it all wrapped up in a week from now.

As much as we’d love to sit back and relax in this new basement, there’s much to be done to make it kid-friendly and mentorship ready.

Each day leading up to our kick-off will be busy with continued reno, designing the space for study and play, and organizing the program with partners like Innovate Academy.

When Greenhouse Project was in the beginning “let’s dream big” stage, we saw a city transformed by the gospel–one story, one life at a time–by loving people where they are at over the long term. As we continually seek God as we pour into our Chester community, we know a major part of urban renewal and life change will happen when we invest in youth education. We pray that the investment of this Homework Club will kick start something bigger by connecting kids with mentors who help them discover a love of learning and their unique passions!
