God provides at exactly the right moment

Recently I’ve been experiencing discouragement. This has been a very busy season for Greenhouse Project and several things are not “going right.”

Our funding is running low. We don’t do lots of fundraisers. At the end of every year we raise about half of our finances for the upcoming year. At this point in the fall we don’t know how God will provide for us financially for next year yet.

Looking at numbers and not having success getting funding is discouraging. Tangible things are fragile. We all need encouragement at times like this. Even pastors need encouragement.

I was spending some time with God in prayer mulling over the challenges and discouragement. Wondering if we should even stay and keep doing this work.

Right after praying I walked outside and this man that I didn’t even recognize stopped in front of our building and said “I’m so happy you guys are here. You’re really making a difference in our community. Everything has changed since you guys moved in.”

Wow. We just got confirmation from God.

Right there. Exactly when I needed it most.

God provides what we need enough for each day here in Chester. Not only financially but in every way. He provided that man I didn’t even know to pass on a word of encouragement.

We are dependent on God and our donors from Day 1. We firmly believe that where God guides He provides. We have faith that God will continue to provide for us. If this is where He wants us then we can have faith that He will continue to bless us with the resources we need to continue.

The way we continue to exist is through your generous donations.

Every end of year we do a fundraising campaign called “Give to Grow.” This fundraising is essential to providing the funds needed for the upcoming year and we are about to start raising this money. We don’t know how and when God will provide but we have faith He will.

Prayer is essential - both during the hard seasons and in seasons of joy.

So, we invite you to join us in praying for Greenhouse Project and Give to Grow! Pray for God’s provision of the funds to continue the work we do and for continuing faith and endurance for those of us who are doing this work here.

First join in prayer and then please consider how you might be able to partner with us.
