PROJECT CLEAN UP

Every second Saturday of the month we focus on reaching neighbors. We pray as a team and hit the streets to be with them.  It’s as simple as that, and yet, not so simple.

Teams of 2-4 people, armed with flyers or cookies (sometimes both), go door-to-door within a few blocks of Greenhouse to pray over homes, gather prayer requests, share the Gospel, and invite folks to our Sunday home church. We’ve started many new friendships this way. The day ends with trash clean up around the block and usually a pick up basketball game with local kids. It's always a meaningful afternoon.

Recently we noticed trash build up becoming a huge problem. Abandoned houses are used as trash dumping grounds and with Covid-19, bulk trash has been canceled leaving the neighborhood a mess. A dumpster placed two blocks away filled up so fast, no one on our block could participate.

So we made a plan... we invite you, your friends and neighbors to join us for PROJECT CLEAN-UP this Saturday, Oct. 17, from 12 - 2pm for trash pick up, street sweeping, and bulk trash removal into a dumpster. We will also be praying for neighbors and playing basketball.

Let's face it, connecting with strangers can feel awkward, but what does it look like to step out of our comfort zone and into someone else's world in hopes of connecting well and planting seeds of change? Join us as we take steps of obedience in serving God and loving his people.

Greenhouse will provide trash bags, gloves, and hand sanitizer. We ask that you bring brooms, rakes, shelves, weedwackers, bottles of water and anything else you need.

The Greenhouse Project team has a passion to reach those who don’t know Jesus. We truly love going out and sharing the Good News, helping people where they are for the long term. Our heart is to build renewal in Chester by living side-by-side with those struggling, creating lasting impact one story at a time. We’ve watched sobriety and life-changing recovery happen. We’ve seen families restored after trauma and abuse. We’ve given practical help to those in need and witnessed revival as friends give their life to Christ.

Join us in this life changing work in Chester! SIGN UP FOR PROJECT CLEAN-UP or donate online to support our ministry. Your partnership and prayers will not return void!
