Happy 3 Year Anniversary!

Our team is humbled and excited to celebrate another year of God’s provision with Greenhouse Project’s official 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

God has helped us flourish in a time when so much around us is struggling. We are truly aware of God's goodness and the value of your partnership this year.

Here are a few things we have learned about urban ministry.

  1. Open doors are key. We have an open door policy, anyone can come over to share a meal or conversation. Whether it's a recovery guy or a neighbor looking to borrow sugar we are here. People have asked deeper questions about God because of this.

  2. Build relationships and love people. Every interaction is building a relationship so we spend time in the streets with our community. Jesus ate with sinners and tax collectors. He was known for interacting with different types of people and actually caring. We try to know and be known by all of our neighbors no matter their background. No one cares how much you know till they know how much you care.

  3. Be authentic. We all have good days and challenging days. We never try to sugarcoat life, but we use all of our personal challenges as a way to glorify God. We are real people. We live here and find common ground in the struggles of life. We learn, we grow, and we thrive when our neighbors thrive!

  4. People are people wherever you go. People in our community are the same as anyone else. We’re all capable of the same sins, addictions, and traps. So whether ministering to people in urban areas or the suburbs, we're all sinners in need of a savior.

  5. God's Word does not return void. We hold true to these promises in urban ministry!  Even on what seems to be the most fruitless days, we believe is sowing God love, and trust that He will provide the increase. Our job is to be faithful in sharing God's Word!

  6. Jesus wants all people to be saved! When we tell someone the gospel, we believe that it's not brand new information, but something that rings true to the soul. Jesus is beckoning all to come to Him, so we know we are only doing the work that Jesus has already begun.

Let's recount how the Lord has moved us forward and the impact of your support in Chester. All prayers, volunteered time, shared meals, home church fellowship, events we hosted, financial gifts – have added up, by God's grace, to continued growth as we renew our community with the heart of the gospel. We are so grateful for you.
